WSS Double at MMS

A new era in South Australian Speedway will begin this Tuesday Night with the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway hosting QSS World Series Sprintcars on Boxing Day for the first time in the venue’s history. Along with the addition of December 26 to the schedule the traditional December 27 date has also been retained giving the competitors and the race fans a huge two nights of Sprintcar action back to back.

In what will be a sensational way to kick off the 31st edition of QSS World Series Sprintcars the opening two rounds of the 2017/18 series will include four American stars in the field of over 40 competitors that will also include three previous Series Champions, current Champion James McFadden, Jamie Veal and South Australian Steven Lines.

This season will see a total of 16 contacted drivers contest the entire series, with Brad Keller and Glen Sutherland representing South Australia, and in addition to the travelling teams a further 15 drivers, including 3-times Australian Champion Kerry Madsen, have also committed to contest the Speedweek Series, that will kick off at the Boxing Day event.

The strong American contingent will include former Knoxville Nationals Champion Jason Johnson, Cory Eliason, Carson Macedo and Dominic Scelzi. Both Macedo and Scelzi will run the entire WSS schedule as contracted teams. Of the American drivers only Macedo is yet to make a start at Murray Bridge.

With over 40 Australian drivers indicating that they will be present the line-up is a who’s who of Australian Sprintcar racing with James McFadden, Jamie Veal, Kerry Madsen, Tim Van Ginneken, Darren Mollenoyux, David Murcott, Luke Dillon, Brad Keller, Ryan Jones, Daniel Harding, Jye O’Keeffe, Matt Egel and Kevin Titman just to name a few. With such a star-studded line-up you can be assured of two outstanding nights of Sprintcar racing.

The support classes include Wingless Sprints and Street Stocks on December 26 with Formula 500’s, V6 Sprints and Junior Sedans on December 27.
